Paints & Emulsions Polymerization

APL offers products such as dispersing agents, humectants, rheology modifiers and defoamers that find application in industries such as pigment dispersion, paints, ink (aqueous, UV and solvent based), wood coatings and plastics

For the emulsion polymerization industry APL manufactures variety of anionic and nonionic emulsifiers for pure acrylate, styrene-acrylate, vinyl-acetate, styrene-butadiene and E-PVC emulsions.

APL’s Surfactant division offers a wide range of products for the Paints and Coatings industry such as:

Non-Ionic emulsifiers (Based on Alkyl Phenol Ethoxylates APEO)

Alkyl phenol ethoxylates: Used in emulsion polymerization, have excellent emulsion stability, high HLB, good dispersibility, good solubility in presence of electrolytes and caustic, high temperature stability. Also used in floor polish and wax emulsions.

Non-Ionic emulsifiers (APEO-free)

Fatty alcohol ethoxylates: Used in emulsion polymerization, has excellent emulsion stability, high HLB, good dispersibility, good solubility in presence of electrolytes and caustic, high temperature stability. Also used in floor polish and wax emulsions. Special applications in polymerization of vinyl acetate, acrylate and styrene-acrylate emulsions gives Improved electrolyte and shear stability.

The Polymer Division of APL offers high performance dispersions and specialty additives to architectural coatings and decorative paints. BU offers wide portfolio of emulsions, dispersing & wetting agents, rheology modifiers and defoamers to the industries.

APl products for emulsion polymerisation are manufactured to meet the stringent requirements of polymerisation process. the consistent quality of our products impart low colour, low metal and free salt content and negligible amount of unreacted hydrophobe ensuring good quality emulsion polymers.

Emulsion polymer systems use a variety of surface active agents to disperse reactive monomers in water and to stabilise the resulting polymer latex. The key to the making of these complex systems work effectively is to choose the surfactant with most favorable hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB).

With a clear vision of becoming a global leader in growth with customer success we are expanding our expertise in this field which will help our customer to come up with wide variety of innovation in Paints & Coating Industries.

The Bulk Chemicals Division At APL offers a wide range of Glycol Ethers, Glycol Ether Acetates, Low Medium & high Aromatic solvents and many other solvent products for the Paints Industry.
