APL’s Surfactant Division manufactures in India a complete range of Non-Ionic, Anionic, Cationic and Amphoteric Surfactants, broadly classified under Neat Ethoxylates & Performance chemicals.

This Division primarily caters intermediates & speciality products for Textile, Pharma, Agrochemical, EP Paints, Personal care, Home care, Oil-filed, construction Adhesive & packaging industries.

The team has extensive experience in handling various Reactions like ethoxylation and Propoxylation (EO/PO) Copolymerization, of polyalkylene glycols, esterification, alkylation, sulfonation, phosphation, polymerization, and amidification.

Surfactants are eco-friendly, processed with stringent quality norms through state-of-the-art technologies to meet the exact & timely needs of the customers. Apart from standard products we also manufacture formulated blends to match customer specific requirements. Our Advanced Research & development centre is continuously engaged in new-product development to expand our portfolio of products and serve our ever growing customer base.

Presently Surfactant products are manufactured in India at our APL-Gujrat, Venus Dyechem-Ghaziabad and Anshika Polysurf Roorkee ( UK ) Units.

Alkyl Phenol Ethoxylates - APNOL

APL Surfactants manufactures in India a wide range of alkyl phenol ethoxylates. These Surfactants are excellent oil / water soluble detergents, emulsifiers / co-emulsifiers, wetting / cleaning and dispersing agents and intermediates for sulphation. They find application in the textile, detergent, agrochemical, emulsion polymerisation and paint industries.

Polyethylene Glycols - APMEG

APL manufactures polyethylene glycols (PEG) that meet Indian and International Pharmacopoeia, such as IP / USP / NF specifications.

These are versatile, non-toxic & stable solvents that find application in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, oral care, automotive, textile, paint, resin and plastic, and ceramic industries.

The company's Polyethylene Glycols range is marketed under the APMEG series with different grades having molecular weight from 200 to 10,000.

Methoxy PEG’s ranging from 300 to 5000 Molecular weight and Allyl PEG’s ranging from 200-5000 Molecular weight, are also manufactured by the company, these find application in the construction industry.

Fatty Amine Ethoxylates - APMINE

APL manufactures many products in the fatty amine ethoxylate category. Amine ethoxylates find application as dye levelling and wetting agents in textile formulations and detergents.

They are also used as emulsifiers in pesticide formulations.

EO / PO Co-Polymers - APOXATE

APL manufactures a wide range of ethoxylated and propoxylated (EO / PO) co-polymers meeting stringent Indian and international standards. Sulfosuccinates

Sulfosuccinates are mild anionic surfactants. They are similar to alkyl sulfonates, but as based on maleic anhydride. Sulfosuccinates are salts of sodium of either monoester of diester of sulfosuccinic acid. Sulfosuccinates are widely used for their excellent properties such as foaming, strong wetting, emulsifying and solubilising, extraordinary surface activity, high effectiveness in reducing surface tension, biodegradability, great mildness and low critical micelle concentration (CMC). Sulfosuccinates are widely used in personal cleansing products, textiles, polymers, paints and coatings, leather, printing and agriculture.

Sulphates & Sulphonates

Sulfated fatty alcohols have excellent emulsifying, wetting, dispersing and foaming properties. They also have high electrolyte tolerance. Alkyl ether sulphated (ethoxylates) also show improved water solubility and resistance to hardness. These products are widely used in emulsion polymerization, cosmetic formulations, detergents and textile industry. We offer a variety of sulphates based on natural and synthetic alcohols and ethoxylates.

APL Surfactant manufactures in India a number of fatty alcohol ethoxylates, which are used in applications such as cleaning and scouring agents, shampoos and detergents, and as emulsifiers in the textile and personal care & home care industries. These also find use as emulsifiers in pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications such as ointments and creams.

Textile -APTEX

For the textile industry, APL offers a complete range of products for the wet processing of textiles. This includes emulsifiers, wetting agents, dispersing agents, levelling agents and lubricating agents, with low PEG content for better surfactancy.

The low-foaming mercerising agents, unique blends of cationic and non-ionic softeners and range of dye levelling agents ensure improved fastness of dyed fabrics. The company also produces spin finish oil for the polyester industry.

Paints & Coatings -APCOAT

APL’s comprehensive range of products for the paint industry include De-foamers, dispersing agents, emulsifiers for emulsion polymerization, preservatives, anti-setting agents, new-generation low foaming emulsifiers, APEO-free emulsifiers and de-emulsifiers provides excellent emulsifying and wetting properties. In the personal care segment, APL offers Emulsifiers, pearling agents, thickeners, dispersants, emollients, foaming agents, foam boosters, wetting agents, stabilizers, conditioners, viscosity controlling agents, etc. For Home Care segment we offer Eco-friendly detergents, acid thickeners, emollients, dispersing agents, emulsion stabilizers.

APL offers cost-effective blends of chemicals that ensure a synergistic effect and enhanced performance of detergents when used in combination with anionics such as LABSA.

These find use in liquid and powder detergents and detergent cakes. These products are eco-friendly and assure improved fabric care, skin care and higher hard water tolerance.
